Everything we know about Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Qualcomm’s next flagship chip

According to Wojciechowska’s report, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor cores will not support 32-bit processing, which is in line with ARM’s recently introduced cores. The layout of the kernels may look like the following pattern:
- Two Cortex-A520 cores
- Three Cortex-A720 cores
- Two Cortex-A720 cores (with a higher frequency)
- A Cortex-X4 core
The aforementioned pattern matches the slides that Arm shared to show the CPU’s 1+5+2 configuration; But it doesn’t mean that Qualcomm uses this exact pattern.
New Adreno 750 GPU
The second generation of the Snapdragon 8 chip was released with the Adreno 740 GPU, and we expect the third generation of this chip to be released with the Adreno 750 GPU. Not much information is available on the Adreno 750; But according to Wojciechowska’s disclosure, the Adreno 750 GPU with a frequency of 770 MHz is being tested; Adreno 750 may not be used in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.
When will the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip be introduced?
As usual, Qualcomm’s flagship chips are introduced in November or December every year, and we expect the same to be the case for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
