DJI Avata racing drone with first-person piloting (FPV) capability has been introduced

After months of rumors and reports, DJI has finally officially announced the Avata drone. This product is not included in the category of normal models of this company and is considered a member of the FPV series, which is designed for beginners who are interested in racing drones. Along with Avata, the company also unveiled a new headset called Goggles 2.

Apparently, the Avata differs from DJI’s previous entries, mostly due to its propeller guards. This allows the drone to be in contact with objects but still remain in the air. This means you’ll spend less time on the ground and more time flying and having fun. Additionally, if you crash the Avata, it has a feature called Turtle Mode that allows it to adjust itself when landing on its back. Avata also has an emergency brake button that stops it in flight to prevent potential accidents.

Although this controller was introduced in 2021, it is very attractive and allows you to control the drone using gestures. The Avata camera uses a 1.7-inch CMOS sensor and its lens aperture is f/2.8. This camera offers a wide field of view of 155 degrees and supports 4K video recording at 60 frames per second. This drone also features RockSteady 2.0 and HorizonSteady, both of which are developed by DJI, to keep the scene steady and smooth when recording videos and photos. People who are interested in recording professional videos with a drone can use the DJI D-Cinelike feature to apply professional color grading to their clips.
