Discovery of a wandering black hole escaping its galaxy

Black holes themselves are invisible; But usually they do not leave the galaxy alone, but some stars and gases that have a gravitational link with the black hole are accompanied by it. The gases emit strong rays that can be observed by telescopes. A black hole’s path through the gas and dust of the outer galactic regions can turn some of that gas into new stars, which are also visible.

Another possibility is that the ray line is caused by the supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy; But this scenario would likely result in a beam that narrows near the galaxy and widens away from it; But the light seen shows the opposite of this issue.

If the mentioned mass is a black hole, it is probably ejected from the center of the galaxy due to the interaction with one or two other nearby black holes. Almost every galaxy has a supermassive black hole at its center. As galaxies merge, their central black holes eventually merge. If the conditions are right, the merger will eject the black hole and move away at high speed.
