Contrary to rumors, the iPhone 14 chip will likely be an improved version of the A15 Bionic

For months, rumors about the iPhone 14 family have been heard from all corners, and if the whistleblowers’ claims are true, this year Apple will leave the main changes for the Pro models, and the regular models are not going to see significant improvements. In fact, many whistleblowers say that the regular models of iPhone 14 are going to be more like the modified model of iPhone 13 and will only see a series of changes.

At the same time, it is said that Apple replaces two small holes in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, replaces the screen notch, brings the always-on screen feature, uses a 48-megapixel main camera, and starts using the new A16 processor.

This year, Apple is increasing the difference between the regular models and the Pro models of the iPhone series as much as possible to encourage users to buy the more expensive models. One of Apple’s methods to encourage users is to use the A16 processor in Pro models. Of course, some reports say that the lack of chips also influenced Apple’s decision to use the A15 in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max.

Whereas A15 is now at the top of mobile processor benchmarks, its reuse in normal iPhone 14 series phones will not cause any particular problem. A15 is still a powerful processor and can handle all the needs of users.

With the release of rumors about the iPhone 14 processor, many questions have arisen in our minds. Are the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max supposed to have the same power as Apple’s 2021 flagships? If these two phones are similar to last year’s models, how does Apple intend to encourage users to buy the new models? As XDA Developers writes, we seem to have a fairly convincing answer to these questions.

A leaker with the username ShrimpApplePro writes on Twitter that the regular iPhone 14 series phones are still going to experience a slight performance improvement despite using the old processor. According to this whistleblower, the phones in question will be equipped with a new cellular modem and use a new internal design.

There is about a month and a half left until the official unveiling of the iPhone 14, and we will probably hear more details about the phones of this family in the coming weeks.
