Asus Zenbook Pro 17 laptop with 165 Hz display and AMD processor was unveiled

The $999 price tag makes the new generation Zenbook cheaper than most popular 17-inch laptops on the market. Dell XPS 17 and LG Gram 17, which are very popular and well-known in this category of laptops, are available with a base price of $1,849 and $1,199, respectively.

Earlier this year, Asus launched a large laptop called Zenbook Pro 16X with an OLED display and a price of $2,599. The Zenbook Pro 17, despite being larger than the Zenbook Pro 16X, falls a notch below that laptop in terms of premiumness, and lacks many of the Pro 16X’s attractive features, such as the OLED display, the rotary button below the keyboard, and separate RGB lighting for each key. .

Asus says its new 17-inch laptop is equipped with a standard ErgoLift hinge, and other Zenbook series laptops will also be equipped with this hinge. When you open the laptop, the hinge causes the entire bottom to slide up. On the Zenbook Pro 16X, the hinge moves the keyboard up, but the bottom half of the laptop stays in place.

According to VergeThe new Asus 17-inch laptop is equipped with AMD Ryzen 6000 series processors. The most powerful configuration uses the Ryzen 9 6900HX processor. We have seen this processor before in powerful gaming laptops like Lenovo Legion 5 Pro.

Ryzen 6000 series laptop processors are not as powerful as Intel’s 12th generation laptop processors, but they consume less power. AMD and Intel have not yet announced the laptop models of their new generation processors, and we will probably see such an event in 2022.

Asus says that its new laptop is equipped with integrated graphics processor in some configurations and discrete Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics in other configurations.
