Apple iPhones still do not have reverse charging

For years, conflicting rumors claim that Apple is looking to add reverse charging to the iPhone, but even the latest models of Apple phones do not support such a feature. Reverse charging allows you to charge accessories like AirPods through the iPhone battery.
In 2019, it was announced that the iPhone 11 Pro Max has the necessary hardware to support reverse charging. A year later, a filing was filed with the Federal Communications Commission indicating that the iPhone 12 would be manufactured with this capability. Rumors persisted in 2021 and 2022, but reverse charging was never added to the iPhone.
According to Apple InsiderThe iPhone maker is still working on reverse charging. It is said that Apple has been trying to add reverse charging to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, but ultimately failed to realize this goal.
Apple is trying to prevent iPhone overheating during reverse charging by developing special software. It is also said that reverse charging will have a special animation on the iPhone screen.
While Apple is struggling to add reverse charging to the iPhone, Android phones have been equipped with this feature for years. Apple is usually late to new features than other companies.
