A34 comparison with competitors; Samsung’s new mid-range better than Motorola Edge 30 and Poco X5 Pro?

By default, Poco X5 Pro comes with MIUI 14 based on Android 13. This device will receive 3 versions of MIUI and 4 years of security updates until MIUI 18, and its latest software version will be Android 15.

Motorola Edge 30 comes with Android 12 and will receive up to two major Android updates, namely Android 14.

The mid-range Samsung 2023 is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W charging. Samsung says the Galaxy A34 will last more than two days on a single charge. There is no phone charger inside the box.

Similar to A34, Poco X5 Pro uses a 5000 mAh battery with the ability to support 67W fast charging technology. The charger of this phone is supplied in its box.

Motorola Edge 30 comes with a 4000 mAh battery, which is a bit weaker compared to other phones of the same price and category. The 33-watt charger of this phone is available in the box when buying and uses fast charging technology.

To be honest, the competition between the three phones Samsung Galaxy A34, Poco X5 Pro and Motorola Edge 30 is very close and it is difficult to choose a winner in different categories. All three phones use a plastic back and frame, although the A34 benefits from a higher certification against water and dust penetration.

All three phones are equipped with approximately the same size AMOLED screens with FHD+ resolution, although the Motorola Edge 30 with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, is slightly better than the other two competitors with 120 Hz displays.

When it comes to the camera, it gets really hard to compare, especially since the A34 hasn’t been reviewed yet; But maybe on paper it can be said that Motorola Edge 30 can capture better images due to the greater opening of the sensor.

The processor performance of all three phones seems to be very close, although a more detailed comparison will have to wait until the A34 review. All three phones come with 6GB and 8GB RAM and 128GB and 256GB storage.

When it comes to software support, the A34 wins, getting two more OS updates than the Poco X5 Pro and three more than the Motorola Edge 30.

In the battery competition, A34 and Poco X5 Pro, equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, are ahead of Motorola Edge 30; However, Samsung’s mid-range comes without a charger.

Finally, the value of buying these three phones depends on your priorities. Which one do you choose between A34, Poco X5 Pro and Motorola Edge 30?
